New Steel & Aluminum Tariffs

New tariffs on steel and aluminum are now official ever since they took effect on March 23, 2018, which is about the only thing that we can say that we know for certain at this point.

Now, the last thing we want to do is be the bearer of not so uplifting news, but like you, we too are affected in some form or another by the new steel and aluminum tariffs that U.S. President Trump pushed through this past March. Right now, we are all riding upon a sea of uncertainty in terms of costs associated with any steel and aluminum products. Price increases are not only likely, it appears that they have already begun as we have recently received price increases from some of our vendors who have elected to raise prices on their products in anticipation of prices of steel and aluminum increasing. Thus, we can only assume at this point that there will be more manufacturers following suit. Obviously, this also means that our prices will naturally increase on products from these vendors.

While there's no need to panic, because of this uncertainty you may want to buy products that you need that could be affected by the tariffs before they reach a potential price increase.

Right now, the best that we can do is to keep you updated and informed of any price increases that our vendors announce associated with the steel and aluminum tariffs and list them here.

The future is always unpredictable, but we can try and take steps in order to be prepared as much as possible. As it is said, "such is life" - so, we try and adapt as best as possible while moving forward, together.
